Thanks to Mr Cu and his family for this friendly cafe in Hue, and thanks to Mr Cu for his contribution to Football for all in Vietnam. When we visited in May 2013, we brought home two large fotos, they are now framed and they are so beautiful. Thank you, we will see you again.
Love Guri and Frode
My wife and I visited Hue as part of our 5 location tour last October. We were recommended to visit the Mandarin Cafe and as a keen photographer I wanted to see the images Mr Cu has taken. As well as a fabulous host and genial restaurant keeper he is a most generous and kind man. He and I talked cameras, life and Hue for a little while. I expressed an admiration for his work and 5-minutes later he was signing and dating a print of one of my favourites. I have recently sent some of my work to him and hope he will criticise it for me.If you are in Hue, stop at the Mandarin it is a happy place with great food and a genuinely talented and kind proprietor.
I never forget the image of a man with camera and tech stuff in the former venue of Mandarin. With smile and clear, slow voice every morning when I have breakfast there. And know, I meet him again more as he is now a good friend of Football for all in Vietnam, he bring football for the children in the remove area and smile when he sees they play football. Thousand and thousand photos taken by him in FFAV's activities are valuable and most of them are children face with smiles, he loves to see the children smile.
